practices and its privacy procedures in this document.

and access to your information

How to contact OnePIN
1. What Personal Information is collected
from you
When registering with OnePIN you are asked for your first name, last name,
telephone number, e-mail address and country of residence as required data for
membership. Once this minimum information has been received, members may then
elect to enter and display their contact information with either Public or
Restricted access options.
OnePIN will only collect and display contact information exactly as it is
entered and saved by members. OnePIN does not collect or display other personal
information (such as race, religion, political affiliation or sexual
orientation) unless that information has been specifically entered into the
system by members. In addition, OnePIN will not collect or display any
demographic or other information that could be used to identify customers as
belonging to a particular market segment or having particular purchasing
preferences.
OnePIN does not knowingly collect personal information on children.
2. Choices Available to You Regarding
Display of and Access to your Information
OnePIN operates on a permission-only basis with respect to the publication of
members’ personal information.
If your personally identifiable information changes, or if you no longer desire
our service, you may correct, update, delete or deactivate it by making the
change on our member information page or by emailing our Customer Support by
or by contacting us by telephone or postal mail at the contact information
listed below. We will respond to your written request within 10 - 20 business
days.
-
Members’ contact information is accessible through the Online Directory and the
OnePIN Synchronizer. The contact information can only be accessed if a
user knows a member’s unique 12-digit OnePIN Number. Users who are not
OnePIN members can only access the member’s “Public” data. Users who are OnePIN
members can access the member’s “Public” and/or “Restricted” data based on the
“Permission Level” assigned by the member.
-
Members choose whether their contact information can be accessed by all users or
just OnePIN members. If a member chooses “access by all users”,
non-members can only access the member’s “Public” data, and other members can
access the member’s “Public” and/or “Restricted” data based on the “Permission
Level” assigned by the member. If a member chooses “access by OnePIN
members only”, other members can access the member’s “Public” and/or
“Restricted” data based on the “Permission Level” assigned by the member.
In this case, non-members cannot access the data.
-
All contact information is designated as either “Public” or “Restricted” by the
member (excluding Name data, which becomes “Public” if entered).
-
Members can block other OnePIN members from continuing to access their contact
information. In order to do this, the member should sign into his/her
account, go to “Access Control” and select “Selective Blocking”. On the
page returned, create the “Selective Blocking List” by entering the OnePIN
Numbers for the members to be blocked. The “Selective Blocking List” can
be edited at any time.
-
If a member wishes to block all access to his/her contact information (while
retaining the contact information in the account), the member should follow
these steps: (i) The member should sign into his/her account, go to
“Access Control” and select “Access Preferences”. On this page, select
“Only OnePIN member’s can access my public data. (ii) Then, under
“Access Control”, select “Set Permission Level”. On the page returned,
create “Access List”. On the page returned, assign an Permission Level of
“Public Data Only” to all members on the list. (iii) Change the designation for
each piece of contact information to “Restricted”.
In this way, members have complete control over how much of their contact
information is shared with others by specifying the desired levels of access
security.
Should you for any reason wish to stop using your OnePIN account, you may delete
all of your contact information from the OnePIN database. Under these
circumstances, OnePIN will not allow any access to your contact information by
other users. OnePIN will retain your contact information for 90 days in
your deactivated account for two reasons: in the event that your account
has been mistakenly deleted or if you decide to re-register for OnePIN’s
services with the same OnePIN number within 90 days. During this 90 day
period, OnePIN reserves the right to contact members to verify that they no
longer wish to use the OnePIN service and that their contact information has
been deleted intentionally.
You can delete your account by signing into your account, clicking on the
“Account Management” link on the left hand side, selecting “Cancel Account” and
following the online instructions.
The contact information collected by OnePIN belongs at all times to the
individuals and organizations that entered the information. OnePIN claims no
proprietary right whatsoever in the information and as such claims no right to
use the information in any way other than for the purpose of operating the
OnePIN web site. Except for limited reasons set out below, OnePIN will never
sell, rent, lease or disclose to third parties your contact information, nor
will OnePIN spam its members or spam on behalf of third parties.
If you directly, or through OnePIN, disclose your contact information including
OnePIN Number to others, then your information may be collected and used by
others. You can control access to your account as described above in
Section 2 of this document.

our users, we provide the option to not receive these types of communications.
Service Announcements
On rare occasions it is necessary for OnePIN to send out a strictly
service-related announcement. For instance, if our service is temporarily
suspended for maintenance we might send users an email. Generally, users
may not opt-out of these communications, though they can deactivate their
account. However, these communications are not promotional in
nature.
Customer Service
We communicate with users on a regular basis to provide requested services and
in regards to issues relating to their account.
OnePIN takes every precaution to protect the users’ information. For your own
protection, however, OnePIN strongly recommends that you do not enter any
