Joseph L. Winn
Joseph Winn was instrumental in the transformation of small Atlantic Radio to large American Radio Systems to giant American Tower Corporation, which has become the leading infrastructure provider for the wireless and broadcast industries in North America.

In executive positions, Mr. Winn coordinated the financing initiatives required to support American Tower's rapid growth and directed the development of financial systems and the finance team. Mr. Winn raised more than $2 billion in public stock offerings and negotiated a $2 billion credit line for the company.

Prior to Atlantic, Mr. Winn served as senior vice president and controller of American Cablesystems Corporation and helped take the company public in 1986.

Mr. Winn has a Master of Business Administration from Babson College Graduate School of Business in Wellesley, Massachusetts and is a graduate of Boston College.

Feyzi Çelik 
Feyzi Çelik is an industry visionary and an inventor at heart, having earned six patents and ten pending patents on OnePIN technology, including CallerXchange, which allows people to manage contact information with one click from their mobile phones. OnePIN’s flagship service, CallerXchange transforms mobile phonebooks into dynamic social address books subscribers use to stay in touch with their growing social network of friends, family and business associates.

Under Çelik’s direction, the company is working with leading telecommunications firms to bring OnePIN’s cutting-edge technologies into the mobile phones of subscribers worldwide. For mobile operators, OnePIN’s CallerXchange encourages subscribers to make more connections in more ways, boosting revenue.

Prior to founding OnePIN, Çelik served as president and CEO of the North American division of Koc Group, a $39.5 billion Fortune Global 500 company based in Istanbul. He also served as a member of Koc Group’s International Venture Creation and Business Development Team.

Çelik holds a master’s degree in business administration with high distinction from the Babson College Graduate School of Business, a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Boston University and a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the Middle East Technical University (METU) College of Engineering.

Kenneth Mabbs
Ken is a founding member of FA Technology Ventures. Ken brings over 23 years of diversified corporate finance and investment management experience to the Fund. Ken served as Director of Corporate Investment Banking at First Albany since joining the firm in 1991 until January 2000. Over the last five years, Ken was involved in most of the merchant banking activities at the firm as well. Prior to joining First Albany, he was a senior investment banker at Bear, Stearns & Co. in New York and Boston, focusing on financing transactions and strategic advisory work for emerging growth and technology companies. Ken has completed over 250 investment banking transactions in a broad range of deal types, including leveraged buyouts, strategic mergers, joint ventures, private placements, venture capital, and public equity and debt financings. He has acted individually as a principal in acquisitions and has represented Bear Stearns and First Albany as an acquirer in its merchant banking activity.

Ken serves on the Board of Directors of E Ink Corporation and Knoa Software and also is a Board Observer of A123 Systems. Ken earned his BA from Denison University and an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Mike Shanahan
Mike Shanahan has spent more than 30 years in finance and venture investing. He co-founded Egan-Managed Capital in 1997. As managing partner, he is responsible for the investment decision process and supports portfolio companies with financial and capitalization advice. He serves on the board of directors of Apparent Networks, Genalytics, Nexaweb, Softrax Corporation, Whaleback Systems and has served on ten other Egan portfolio boards.

Prior to Egan-Managed Capital, Mr. Shanahan worked with Eastech Management Company, a New England-focused early-stage technology venture firm. Eastech developed a portfolio of 34 companies during Mr. Shanahan’s tenure. He served as a director and filled management roles in several Eastech portfolio companies. Before Eastech, he worked in corporate finance and venture capital at Paine Webber and Banker's Trust Company.

Mr. Shanahan holds a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School and a bachelor’s degree in economics from the College of the Holy Cross.
