OnePIN® Releases OnePIN Forum Manager Providing Online Discussions
within its OnePIN Contact and Group Management System
OnePIN creates an easy to use and effective way to interactively communicate with a specific group of people
WESTBOROUGH, MA, June 18, 2004 – OnePIN, Inc., the market leader in group
management solutions, today released its OnePIN Forum Manager that enhances
communication between individuals within a specific group or organization. The
OnePIN Forum Manager allows the administrator to setup a private and secure
forum or a discussion (chat) room just for members of a group or a subgroup to
write, respond and archive “correspondence” regarding specific topics. The
discussion forum is organized by what is known as a thread. A thread is a
person’s written comments on a specific topic. Individuals that are active
members of a group or subgroup have the ability to participate in any of the
discussions by either reading a thread or responding to a thread.
OnePIN Forum Manager was used to continue the discussions first raised at a
American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics Modeling and Simulation
Technical Workshop. All participants and attendees were provided OnePIN numbers
and segmented into the group called Workshop. The key points brought up during
the Workshop were recorded as a thread in the OnePIN Forum Manager. Every
participant was able to read the “minutes of the workshop” as threads and was
able to respond to any and all points they wished. One member stated, “It was
great to get the notes of the workshop in such a way that I could provide my
ideas, even though the Workshop took place weeks ago.”
Feyzi Celik, President and CEO of OnePIN, says that creating an online forum is
an effective way to build a sense of community among alumni, faculty and staff.
“The OnePIN Forum Manager provides everything you need to be able to
dynamically interact with individuals in your group or subgroup with complete
security and privacy within the group.” Celik also stated that, “These
discussion forums can be written in Microsoft Word and pasted into the OnePIN
Forum Manager Primary Screen or written, from scratch, right into the template,
thus adding to the overall ease of use”.
