OnePIN® and Sicap Sign Partnership Agreement to Introduce
Applications for the 3G Mobile Market
WESTBOROUGH, MA, January 17, 2005 – OnePIN Inc., the developer of the human
network infrastructure and provider of innovative communication and
collaboration applications, and Sicap AG, a wholly owned subsidiary of Swisscom
Mobile and a leading provider of mobile applications to network operators,
today announced a partnership agreement to introduce new 3G applications. This
partnership will combine OnePIN’s contact management technology with Sicap’s
integration capability to bring innovative applications to mobile operators in
Europe, Asia and around the world.
Together, the two companies will introduce seamless new applications that ensure
people always have up-to-date contact information in their phone’s address book
without having to manually key-in the data for each contact. The new
applications will leverage OnePIN’s patented technology that enables users to
keep their contact information updated on all of their contacts’ devices -
personal computer (Microsoft Outlook), PDA, mobile phone.
Nils Granath, Director of Product Management at Sicap is very excited about the
benefits these new services will bring to mobile operators. “Together, we will
provide services that will increase voice and data traffic as subscribers will
have the latest telephone numbers and alternate contact information
automatically stored in their phone’s address book.” said Granath, adding that
operators will realize an immediate increase in RPU from their traditional
voice and data traffic without having to wait for new applications to be
adopted by subscribers.
