Mobile social address book service to enable subscribers to extend social networks with one click after calls

Boston, MA. May 31, 2011— América Móvil, the world’s fourth largest mobile network operator, has launched OnePIN’s CallerXchange service under the Claro brand in another country in Latin America. Claro is providing the CallerXchange social address book service to approximately five million mobile subscribers in the Dominican Republic, enabling them to easily extend their social networks by sharing contact information with one-click after phone calls.

Claro is the second mobile operator to launch the CallerXchange service in the country, meaning nearly all mobile subscribers in the market will be able to share and automatically add socially relevant contact details into their mobile phonebooks. Claro subscribers will also be able to exchange contact information with Orange subscribers, the second largest mobile operator in the market, as they have also launched the service and have achieved impressive results.

With CallerXchange, Claro subscribers can choose to exchange contact information immediately after a phone call with one click. Once a subscriber completes a basic profile of contact information, he or she can choose to send this information to new friends or colleagues the next time they call a new friend. Recipients of a CallerXchange message can easily click to add their friend’s contact information directly into their phonebook. CallerXchange automatically ensures that contact information in subscribers’ phonebooks is kept up to date, allowing subscribers to keep in touch with friends and colleagues even if their information changes over time.

The CallerXchange service is distributed on Claro’s SIM cards and is available to all subscribers. Revenue generated by the service for Claro includes value-added service transactions for each contact exchange; an increase in voice, SMS and data revenue attributed to an enriched phonebook with CallerXchange contacts; and increased revenue from address book synchronization and phonebook backup services.

“We are proud to be launching our CallerXchange service in another América Móvil affiliate, enabling millions of subscribers to transform phone calls to friends into social connections. The Claro brand is known for innovation and the launch of our mobile social address book service further extends this commitment to their subscribers.” said OnePIN CEO and founder Feyzi Çelik.
