OnePIN’s CallerXchange service helps subscribers stay connected while enhancing their social networks

BOSTON, Mass., Feb. 24, 2009 — +Móvil from Cable & Wireless Panama is enabling their subscribers to extend their social networks with one click on their mobile phones thanks to CallerXchange, OnePIN’s contact exchange service. The locally-branded service “Intercambio de Datos Personales” was launched in Panama as the first of its kind in the country. Customers can use this person-to-person service to automatically connect and stay in touch with friends, family and business associates while building and growing their mobile social address books.

With CallerXchange, +Móvil subscribers can exchange contact information immediately after a phone call or text message with one click. Recipients can easily click to add their friend’s contact information directly into their phonebook. The service costs $0.30 USD per message sent and an automatic updating capability ensures that users stay in touch even if their information changes over time.

This service can be used by +Móvil prepaid and postpaid subscribers with the red SIM cards. Subscribers without this color SIM card can obtain it in any Cable & Wireless store in Panama.

CallerXchange has been adopted by many wireless operators around the world and is being quickly embraced by subscribers. Cable & Wireless’ deployment in Panama is following this trend with a growing subscriber utilization rate that is approaching 20% and an impressive 91% of subscribers choosing to keep the service active.

“The social address book is of fundamental importance to subscriber satisfaction and operator revenue,” said OnePIN president and CEO Feyzi Celik. “We are very pleased to see that Cable & Wireless is experiencing the strong user uptake of CallerXchange that we have seen in other markets,” he added.
